top of the list is the Begonvil, just a lovely restaurant with professional and pleasant staff. Over the years Ive being going back to the Begonvil and have seen the many changes in the restaurant itself and the staff.
Everyone of them have been wonderful and kind. I tried for the first
time Anatolia Restaurant and if you are looking for a touch of mexican chilli dips or fajitas or lovely coffee - of various sorts, then try this place.
They apparantly do a wonderful italian ice-cream.

A new one for this year is the Zeugma in the center of town, near to Nokta market. Web site at www.zeugmadalyan.com. When I was there the other night there was a lot of dancing and an exellent atmosphere.

We ate at the Safran, we had some friends down from Ankara and went here and the views of the Tombs are amazing. They have a site at www.safrandalyan.com

In whole dalyan you can eat very good. But the best food you can eat at Starfish, we eat there a few times. You get big portions for a very good price. And the best of whole dalyan you can eat at restaurant Beyaz Gul, great athmopshere, and ambiance. You can eat near the river with a lovely view on the rock tombs. The mixed grill and tavuk sis where very delicious.

I would second MissDalyan's comments on Beyaz Gul (White Rose). My wife and I ate there in May, and had an enjoyable meal. My sea bream (with greens, grilled tomato, a nice mix of grilled vegetables, and rice with orzo) was excellent. We also had a pleasant dinner at Diyar Paradise/Barbecue Garden, where I had their slow-roasted leg of lamb in red sauce (with baked potato, green pepper, broiled tomato). The garden area is quite pleasant and service is attentive.

For those looking for Anatolia, it is now closed. Not sure why.

My favourites are Ali Baba's, Cagri and Saki.

Tried Tommy Cookers but would avoid it. The guys had the lamb dish which was very greasy. Girls at chicken kebab with baked potato. Let me say, the cats were well fed! The baked potato was burnt to a crisp and even the inside was burnt! It was a shame as the starters were lovely and we were all looking forward to our main course. Rather over-priced as well.

I too would avoid Tommy Cooker like the plague. We ate one of his meals a couple of years ago, the worst I have ever eaten, like a previous poster said, the cats ate well that night. The lamb was full of gristle and supposedly had been slow cooked all day, but I think I would beg to differ with that.
Anatolia is now Askin's Bar, Askin used to be at Cafe Blue Bar and now has his own place, he deserves it too, in my humble opinion he is the best in town as far as customer service goes.
Our favourite restaurant is still Ramazan Han, always been very consistent and great food.
